Cinderella is the story of a beautiful young woman, orphan of both parents. His mother had died first, his father remarried a woman who was himself a widow and two daughters, and then he too died. After her father's death, the girl was enslaved by her father's wife and his daughters. They hate her to the point of calling her only by the nickname "Cinderella" from the ashes of which the girl gets dirty by cleaning the fireplace and from the pots she uses to cook food for her stepsisters and stepmother (sometimes the variant 'Cenerella' is used). The life of the young Cinderella changes when news reaches the whole city that a ball organized by the king would be held at the court, during which the prince could choose his betrothed. The stepsisters and stepmother attend the ball and Cinderella is consequently excluded. With the magical help of a fairy, her "fairy godmother" the girl is dressed in a wonderful princely dress and manages to secretly go to the ball despite the prohibition of her stepmother. Despite the beautiful gesture, the fairy recommends that the girl return at midnight. At the ball Cinderella attracts the attention of the prince and they dance the night away. However, Cinderella, in love, you forget the passing of time: since the spell's effect will wear off just at midnight, she must was gg racing ire at the stroke, but in the escape, lose a glass slipper. The prince, now in love, finds the shoe and proclaims that he would marry the girl to whom the shoe would "fit". Eventually Cinderella manages to prove her identity and marries the prince.
