Iron Man's alter ego Anthony Edward "Tony" Stark is a characters by Stan Lee I fictional cartoon character created in 1963 published by Marvel Comics. He first appeared in Tales of Suspense # 39, the cover of which was designed by Jack Kirby, Heck's collaborator in the development of the armor design.
